The quiz over chapter 10, second part, will be on November 26th.

Expect quizzes from now on, on the following grammar points: -er, -ir, and -re verbs, present and past tenses; interrogatives “qui” and “que”; the verbs “boire,” “devoir,” and “recevoir” in the present tense.

The test over chapter 10 will be on Tuesday, December 1st.

From December 1st until December 15th we will be practicing and reviewing for the mid-term exam.

The mid-term exam will be on December 15th, and will cover chapters 7, 8, 9 and 10 (studied this year), as well as chapter 3 (studied in 7th grade), where we learned -er verbs. Students should have all the handouts for these chapters, and are asked to review on their own the vocabulary and grammar of these five chapters. We have begun preparing for this exam in class, but students also need to begin practicing on their own, from their notes, handouts, and the book. The mid-term will include an essay, which will be similar to the paper that is due on November 24th.
